Pietro Pascarelli
Pietro Pascarelli is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and psychotherapist. He promoted the Italian translation of the writings of G.G. de Clérambault collected in Automatismo mentale e psicosi passionali. He edited books on psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, psychiatry; he participated in the anthologies Noia (2017) and Orrore (2018); he edited the book La cosa godente. Philosophers Facing Psychoanalysis (2020). He published in journals such as “Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane”; “Rivista Sperimentale di Freniatria”; “European Journal of Psychoanalysis”; “Doppiozero”; “Le Parole e le cose”; he collaborates with “Il Manifesto”. He is co-editor of the Italian section of the “European Journal of Psychoanalysis”. His interests extend to literature (and poetry, as a special form of knowledge), to ultra-disciplinary psychoanalytic, anthropological, literary and philosophical essays. He has translated into Italian collections of poetry by Hart Crane, short stories and novels by Henry James, H.G. Wells, H.P. Lovecraft, Thomas Hardy, Edith Wharton and others.
